On April 23, marking the World Laboratory Day, EUROLAB and UNIDO held a joint Seminar on Quality (ISO 17025) and Sustainable Management Systems Implementation in-person in Chisinau, Moldova and online.
The seminar was focused on the Moldavian food safety and animal health laboratories to support capacity building and share successful case studies and best practices in implementing sustainable laboratories practices, while achieving a higher level of compliance with EU standards, technical regulations and product-related directives.
EUROLAB Secretary General Laura Martin presented the ScreenFood Project as part of the EUROLAB efforts in the field of lab sustainability, food safety and food reference materials. The overall aim of the ScreenFood project is to develop analytical strategies and reference materials supporting food and food packaging industries in the provision of safe and sustainable products compliant to legislation, providing effective methods for monitoring contaminants in food and food packaging materials.
